VOTE: Favorite Proudly Catholic Movies

To celebrate Catholic identity in public life, the Catholic Hall of Fame presents Proudly Catholic Movies. What movie makes you proud to be Catholic? Tell us your favorites.

In my classes, I like to show movies that thoughtfully critique Catholic identity. Those movies  are great, but not what we’re looking for here (Doubt and Breach, for instance). I started off the list with personal favorites like The Scarlet and the Black (1983), Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino (2008), and some great Biblical epics.

Vote for five of those listed, or add your own favorite Catholic identity movie.
