Shout It From the Rooftops

 Go up on to a high mountain,
Zion, herald of glad tidings;
cry out at the top of your voice,
Jerusalem, herald of good news!
Fear not to cry out
and say to the cities of Judah:
Here is your God!
Isaiah 40:9

Remember last week, when I lamented all that is dark and negative, and boy, do we need someone to lead us?
You are coming! You are promised! You are God’s chosen Son, one of us!

Heck yes, I am going to the top of the mountain and shout for joy.

Or, maybe..

I will smile more, celebrate good things more often, thank someone when they least expect it. I will say a silent prayer of  thanks when the unexpected turns out well, the unanticipated brings so much benefit to me, but also to someone who needs a boost.

I promise to try to be much more appreciative of the gifts You place in front of me. They’re given by You for a reason.

My good news will not be on Facebook, or X, formerly known as Twitter, or on Instagram. It will be spread person to person, so a mighty light shows forth from our homes, our neighborhoods, our nation, our world.

Because, heaven knows, we need it right now.

You are coming. I am joyful. I am not alone. I am in Your presence. I will be ready on that glorious morning of Your Son’s birth.

How much more I appreciate this wait.
