Now is the Time to Speak Up for Religious Freedom

francis freedomThe U.S. bishops are asking Catholics to stand up and demand religious freedom.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Congress passed the Conscience Protection Act. Click here for the U.S. Speaker’s explanation of the Act and why it is important. It passed! Now it goes on to the U.S. Senate.

Here are five things you can do to promote religious freedom in America:

FIRST: Watch a short video about Cathy, a nurse who was forced to participate in an abortion against her conscience.

SECOND: Read more about the Conscience Protection Act.

THIRD: Know who your U.S. Representative is, and check how they voted on the Conscience Protected Act.

FOURTH: Write to your U.S. Senator to ask them to support the Conscience Protection Act.

FIFTH: Join Benedictine College’s Memorare Army for Religious Freedom prayer campaign.
