The Church in Joya de Los Cedros

The people of Joya de Los Cedros had a dream. This is the story of how Benedictine College became a big part of fulfilling that dream.

The people longed for a Catholic church in their small village in the mountains of Guatemala. They prayed for help in creating something that would reflect the strong faith they already possessed.

Benedictine College raised tens of thousands of dollars, visited the village for years to build, and formed a relationship with the residents based on trust, joy, and a shared love of Jesus Christ.
