Please join in our Memorare Army prayer campaign. Following the model of Blessed Mother Teresa’s original Memorare Army concept, we hope to gather pledges for 1 million memores for religious liberty and stronger Catholic identity in public life.
“We cannot — we will not — comply with this unjust law,” Kansas City-Kansas Archbishop Joseph Naumann wrote in his letter to Sunday Mass congregations about the Obama administration’s health care mandate requiring Catholics to pay for contraception. “Our parents and grandparents did not come to these shores to help build America’s cities and towns, its infrastructure and institutions, its enterprise and culture, only to have their posterity stripped of their God-given rights.”
They are strong words that he does not use lightly. The Archbishop talked to Benedictine College president Stephen D. Minnis about the need for a national Memorare Army that would pray for religious liberty. Click here and here to see coverage of Benedictine College’s original Memorare Armies.
