Author Meg Hunter-Kilmer Holds Book-Signing Event on Campus

Well-known author and speaker Meg Hunter-Kilmer made an appearance on the Benedictine College campus on April 7, guest of the college’s Raven Store. She did a reading from her most recent book, Pray for Us! and signed copies of the book, along with copies of her children’s book Saints Around the World. During her talk, she shared her story and told of the inspiration behind the books, which are still available for purchase in the Raven Store.

Hunter-Kilmer graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and followed that with a Master’s Degree in Systematic Theology, also from Notre Dame. Upon graduation, she became a full-time religion teacher. After 5 years, she quit her job and traveled around the world as a “hobo” missionary.

In 2012, she felt the call to be a full-time speaker and has pursued that vocation, along with writing. She has given talks to groups, large and small, ever since. Her topics include Truth (Catholic and Christian Apologetics), Goodness (Morality and the Christian Life), and Beauty (Prayer and Discernment).

A cradle Catholic who had left the faith, she says she was brought back to the fold by “a grace-filled confession and the supreme logic of Catholic doctrine.” You can learn more about her at her website, www.piercedhands.com.
