Final Christmas Message From Father Denis


In his final taped message for the liturgical year, Benedictine Father Denis Meade left a message for Christmas message, when “justice and peace shall kiss.”

Father Denis was remembered for bringing “a springtime of faith to Benedictine and beyond” and died in June at age 90.

He had been a member of Benedictine College’s board of directors. A former Theology professor at Benedictine College, he served as archivist, Junior Master and Postulant Director at St. Benedict’s Abbey on the campus of Benedictine College in Atchison.

St. Benedict Abbey’s 60 Seconds for Sunday series looks at each upcoming Sunday’s readings.

The monks at the Abbey, along with the Benedictine Sisters at Mount St. Scholastica, are what make Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., Benedictine.
