Dr. Jared Zimmerer on Catholic Sports Radio

How does someone go from being “just a meathead from Texas” to becoming a leader in the leading apostolates of his time?

Dr. Jared Zimmerer teaches Great Books and directs content marketing for Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Previously, he served as the Senior Director of the Word on Fire Institute, helping manage that part of the organization as it grew to over 20,000 subscribers.

But he has a past life and current active side in athletics. Jared has been involved in sports from coaching and training to actively participating in competition for over 25 years. With his undergraduate degree in kinesiology, and his Liberal Arts Master’s and PhD, he offers a unique perspective into the spiritual life of an athlete and how to intertwine faith and the body.

In this interview, he talks about:

  • His journey of faith and athletics,
  • His major conversion in Mexico City,
  • The Catholic faith’s teachings on the human body.
