Christmas Joy Toy Drive Helps Salvation Army

The Raven Athletic Leadership Council, a student group on the Benedictine College campus, is working with the women’s and men’s basketball teams on the annual Christmas Joy Toy Drive! Anyone who donates a new, unwrapped toy for the drive will get free admission to the basketball games on Tuesday, Dec. 6, or Saturday, Dec. 10. All toys collected will go to support the Salvation Army’s Angle Tree program! This is the 11th year the basketball teams have participated in the toy drive for Atchison’s less fortunate children.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to any game for free admission and to help collect more toys than ever! Santa will be there for the kids from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, outside the Nolan Gym on the lower level of the St. John Paul II Student Center. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available.

The women will play Graceland University at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium on the Benedictine campus. The men take on Graceland at 7:30 p.m. that day. On Saturday, Dec. 10, the women tip off against Culver-Stockton at Noon in the Nolan Gym and the men play Culver-Stockton at 2:00 p.m.
