Benedictine College is encouraging students, staff and faculty to participate in St. Benedict’s Abbey’s 72 Hours of prayer and fasting for the victims of abuse and the U.S. Bishops.
Prayer and fasting was first requested by Pope Francis this summer.
During the US Bishops’ meetings, Nov. 12-15 2018, St. Benedict’s Abbey will be hosting 72 hours of Adoration in the Abbey Church to pray for the victims of abuse, as well that the Holy Spirit will guide the bishops in their meetings.
Adoration each day runs from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. The Abbey Church will be closed to the public each night.
Abbot James and the monks of the Abbey have invited the entire Atchison Community to join them in this important prayer.
Sign up for a particular time at the Abbey website, or join the Benedictine College community in prayer wherever you are.
