Benedictine CollegeNearly 500 high schoolers were on the campus of Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, this summer for faith, fun and formation in several programs.
One is pictured below: BCYC Immersion, a week-long youth conference that introduces young people to Benedictine College’s mission of community, faith, and scholarship (students pick Engineering, Nursing, Great Books, Art, Leadership, Theology, Education, Creative Writing, Biology, Architecture, Voice, or Philosophy.)

Camp starts with (optional) trips down the giant waterslide, which starts up by the football field …
… and ends in the Abbey’s backyard.
Opening Mass starts the week in prayer.
Students select their academic interest. Some learn what it’s like to become a teacher …

… or a biologist.
Mornings start with group Bible study …
… and evening activities include a Barn Dance.
Physical activities include a hike …

… and more.
Adoration is a highlight of the week.
As the week ends, students present on what they learned, including the Voice track.

The week closes with your small-group photo, but it doesn’t end there. Many of our campers meet their best friends at BCYC Immersion.
